What is 3G?
3G stands for third generation mobile technology. It supports high speed data Internet and applications such as video calling, mobile TV, music download, movie download etc.
Which 3G services are offered by Intdev?
Intdev can offer you package sizes from all major service providers, these include Vodacom, MTN and Cell C.
What kind of speed should I expect from 3G?
You will experience broadband speeds up to 2 Mbps. Using HSDPA services you can experience speed up to 3.6 Mbps. The exact speed depends on the area you are in (coverage), number of users in this area and the environment you are in (buildings).
What is the contract duration for 3G?
The normal contract is 24 month, this will include a free modem for you as well as free domain registration and a mail box. After 24 months you can move to a month to month contract.
Can I sign a 3G package on a month-to-month basis?
Unfortunately all 3G packages from Intdev are sold on a contract base.
Where can I find out about the 3G coverage in my area?
You can check on the main providers’ websites and see if your area is covered. Don’t forget to check multiple places where you would like to use the device in regularly. Like your home, office and favourite coffee shop.
