What are your product editions?

SugarCRM has four commercial products:

  • Sugar Professional contains advanced functionality for larger deployments, including reporting, team and field-level security and sales forecasting.
  • Sugar Corporate centralizes sales, marketing and support information, to boost employee productivity and improve executive visibility into company perfor­mance. Sugar works the way your company works; it’s easy to use, configure, and extend, to grow and change with your business. 
  • Sugar Enterprise, which provides advanced functionality and support for large enterprise deployments, contains support for Oracle, offline client synchronization and the customer self-service portal.
  • Sugar Ultimate is our most feature-complete subscription, ready to support complex global applications including Mobile CRM and Social CRM compo­nents. Even better, this power is delivered with an unparalleled user experience and the brilliant flexibility of Sugar’s open source platform. 

 

 

What are the deployment options?

SugarCRM can be deployed on-demand (on our servers) or on-site (inside your firewall). Customers receive both a license key to download the software and an On-Demand account when they become a customer of Sugar Enterprise and Sugar Professional.

 

How do I access the SugarCRM application?

Regardless of deployment options, all Sugar information is accessible through a standard web browser. This can be from your computer, laptop or cell phone on the go. You can choose to have an Outlook connector for your SugarCRM to make the CRM work even harder for you.

What type of training programs does SugarCRM offer?

Intdev can provide you with additional training on how to use SugarCRM and how to get optimized utilization. Training is charged at an additional fee. Training manuals are available on request.  

Online training available from SugarCRM.com:

  • Sugar University offers a blended learning program that includes easy access to self-paced online learning materials and interactive instructor-led options.
  • Online Library: SugarCRM's self-paced, web-based learning enables you to learn according to your schedule, whenever you want and wherever you are. Topics are organized in comprehensive role-based learning paths and include Learning Guides, "Show Me" Videos, and recordings of in-depth Webinar sessions.

 

Are there extensions available for SugarCRM products?

Yes, SugarExchange is the SugarCRM marketplace where any Sugar user wishing to extend core Sugar functionality can choose among hundreds of module extensions, themes and language packs provided by Sugar community members and partners. Partners and developers have created over 500 extensions to the SugarCRM which can be plugged into any of the Sugar editions. Extensions are managed through the Sugar Module Loader.

The developers of these extensions have followed the SugarCRM methodology for connecting their modules into the Sugar architecture. These extensions are third-party applications. We recommend reviewing user feedback on SugarExchange for each extension before loading them.

Technical Questions

Can I upgrade from one edition to the other?

Yes, all products are built on the same code base so you can easily move from one product to another. If you have not customized the application, the process is to run the database upgrade SQL script, provided by SugarCRM, against the open source database to turn it into a pro database. Then run the pro installer and point it to the upgraded database.

In a customized system, apply the same database upgrade process as mentioned above. Then merge over the customized files from the open source installation over to the new pro installation.

 

How do I get my current data into Sugar?

You can easily import data from another CRM solution, or even just a standard spreadsheet using the standard Comma Separated Value (CSV) format. You can import directly into the database, or use the import wizard found in the shortcut menus throughout the application. How do I add more users to my account?
